In nature it’s wonderful to switch off, take a deep breath and escape from everyday life. The Weserbergland, the Solling and the Weser offer rich opportunities for hiking or cycling and other diverse activities. Being outdoors is the motto here.
The tourism association of the Solling-Vogler-Region offers extensive information about various hiking tours and trails on its website.
Mountain bike trails crossing the Solling and the Weserbergland on marked paths. They offer on a more than 750 kilometers network of trails in the surrounding area. Guided mountain bike tours are offered in the Solling.
The most popular cycle path in Germany, the “Weser-Radweg”, passes directly by Bevern and is a very popular highlight of our homeland. The Weser-Radweg has a length of 500 kilometers and leads from the Weserbergland to the North Sea.
Of course there are also activities on the Weser, which are offered almost all year round. Rowing and kayaking are of course not to be missed. How about an individual rubber dinghy tour on the Weser? We will be happy to quickly and easily put you in touch with a competent inflatable boat provider.
Something very special is offered by the nordic wilderness farm in Silberborn. The wilderness farm is home to reindeer and huskies. Trekking tours with the animals from the far north are offered here. For many, it is a unique experience to see and get to know the animals up close.
The geocaching community has also established a large geocaching area here. Our area holds some treasures for all big and small “scavenger hunters”. Whether puzzles from easy to difficult, caching tours, or “Lost Places”. There is the right challenge for everyone.
