The village of Bevern, our home, is located in the Weserbergland between the Burgberg in the north and the Solling in the south. Bevern is located about two kilometers east of the confluence of the Beverbach, which flows through the village, into the Weser.
The most famous sight is probably Schloss Bevern, one of the most important monuments of the Weser Renaissance, with a square courtyard with a moat, two bridges and a castle garden.
Bevern: Here we live and work – just where others go on vacation! The Solling is perhaps not the best known hiking region, but it is very popular with insiders and connoisseurs and was considered an insider tip. The Solling is the largest and most pristine forest area in Lower Saxony. Here nature has priority and is directly in front of our door!
The Burgberg, our “house mountain”, connects directly to the north of Bevern and is virtually right on our doorstep. Here you will find the nature reserve “Südliche Burgberghänge”. On the Burgberg itself is one of the largest occurrences of orchids at the “Frauenschuhwiese” in Germany. This meadow alone is worth a hike. Furthermore, on the Burgberg is the tower of the former Royal Prussian Optical Telegraph Station No. 28, a former post from the time of the Prussians for optical message transmission.
Visitors, who got to know our beautiful homeland and our home, will gladly come back.
